UniFi networks Cornwall

UniFi, deployed properly and handed over documented.

Access points, PoE switching, gateways, cabinets and VLAN-ready infrastructure - staged, commissioned, named to a scheme and handed over so anyone can pick it up.

The hardware is the easy part.

UniFi is popular because it is capable and affordable. It gets a bad reputation on sites where it was unboxed, adopted and left on defaults - one flat network, no VLANs, mismatched firmware, devices named after whoever installed them.

Deployment here means a naming scheme, firmware baselined, channel and power planned rather than left on auto everywhere, guest traffic separated from the till and the cameras, and a handover document that means you are not dependent on me.

  • UniFi access point, switch and gateway deployment
  • PoE capacity and uplink planning
  • VLAN and guest network separation
  • Controller setup, self-hosted or cloud
  • Firmware baselining and consistent naming
  • Migration from an old or abandoned controller
Scope

Typical work.

New UniFi deployment

Designed, staged, installed and commissioned as one system rather than a set of boxes.

Take over an orphaned network

Adopt, document and stabilise a UniFi estate whose original installer has gone.

Segmentation

Separate guest, staff, payment and CCTV traffic properly instead of running everything flat.

Ongoing support

Remote checks, firmware and changes without a monthly contract you cannot leave.
